I can’t go back. I just opened the Mirassou Chardonnay, and discarded it in favor of an unproven zinfandel. I end up preferring reds to whites 9 times out of 10. Its truly an evolution. If you’re saying to yourself, “Bullshit! Reds are bitter and indistinct.” I say, you just don’t understand. But you will.
This variety is a great buy at $15. Deep plums and jams, with a peppery zing. (zing!) Great with pasta and marinara. Hints of jammy sweetness but hot & meaty, as well. Yessir, hot and meaty jam! Doesn’t that just sound great?
