Our mission
Hmmm…a mission.
I believe that life should be a glorious mixture of ambition and frivolity. I want to do interesting and fulfilling things, but not take any of it all that seriously.
So, I suppose our mission is to imbue that spirit into the Austin Winos. I want to make sure:
- everyone has a good time
- learns something about wine
- tries a few grapes or regions they’re not so familiar with
- meets a lot of new people who are probably into a lot of the same things they are
- to try some grapes or regions that they haven’t before, and, perhaps most importantly, meet lots of new people who are into a lot of the same things that you are.
To that end, we’ll throw a number of free events, and there will also be some events you have the option to pay for. I’ll try to review a bunch of wine that’s available in the area, and give you the scoop on where to go in Austin for a good time.
At some point, there may be an option to become a premium member of The Austin Winos, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
